Danielle Willard — Physiotherapist and Co-Owner
Danielle is a native of Almonte and graduated in 1990 from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy. She has gained 30-years of valuable experience working in a variety of settings including hospitals, private clinics, long-term care facilities, and home care before joining the Perth Physiotherapy team in 2013.
Throughout her years, Danielle has completed advanced training in Manual Therapy and continues to have a very hands-on approach to treatment. She is NDT-trained (Neuro Development Therapy), rostered in Acupuncture, and is an ADP-authorizer for mobility devices. She also specializes in assessing and rehabilitating vestibular and balance disorders such as vertigo and complex concussions.
When not working, Danielle enjoys gardening, completing serious home improvement projects, and hanging out with her 2-legged and 4-legged family.
Matt Rice — Physiotherapist and Co-Owner
Matt received his Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from Queen’s University in 2014 and has worked as a Physiotherapist at Perth Physiotherapy since day one. Prior to Queen’s, Matt completed a BA in Kinesiology from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Participating in several sports both as a coach and athlete since his early teens, Matt has experienced first-hand the benefits of both rehabilitation and pre-habilitation exercise. He believes in a holistic approach to treatment; recovery is more than just treating the site of pain – it’s a treatment of the whole system. Using techniques such as Acupuncture, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), and Neuro Kinetic Therapy (III) alongside exercise prescription, Matt enjoys helping clients of all ages and abilities return to their full potential with confidence.
When not in the clinic, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and young family, weightlifting, walking/running with his Shelties, completing projects and enjoying the privacy of his rural property.
Cooper Rice — Physiotherapist and Co-Owner
From a young age, Cooper witnessed the impact of sports injuries and other unexpected injuries on close friends and family members. These experiences ignited a desire to better understand the human body’s resilience and capacity for healing.
Cooper completed his Bachelors of Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa, Summa Cum Laude, and went on to complete his Masters of Physiotherapy at Queen’s University in 2022. Prior to his university pursuits, Cooper obtained a Diploma in Heritage Carpentry and Joinery at the Algonquin College Perth Campus.
Cooper employs a holistic approach that integrates neural control of human movement, pain science, and graded exercise programming. Cooper believes in guiding and assisting others to help themselves find their own strengths and solutions to support long-term behaviour change, with lasting benefits for physical, mental, and social health.
Beyond his clinic interests in physical activity and rehabilitation, Cooper finds joy in music, cooking, and gardening. Most of all, Cooper loves spending time in the great outdoors with his wife and border collie.
Addie Barr — Physiotherapist
Addie graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and a minor in Biology. While working for over four years as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, Addie developed her passion for helping others attain their goals, and overcome injury through movement.
This led her on a journey to complete a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from Leeds Beckett University in England. As a student, she completed one of her placements at Perth Physiotherapy and immediately fell in love with our welcoming community. After graduation, Addie returned to Perth Physiotherapy as a Physiotherapy Assistant while she worked to complete her Canadian accreditation and national exams. Addie is now a Registered Physiotherapist and is eager to help you improve your health through movement!
No stranger to the joy and benefits of powerful and painfree movement, Addie rowed competitively at Western University and was a proud member of 2 championship teams, she also rowed for Leeds Beckett University and has been running half and full marathons since she was 15.
In her spare time, Addie now enjoys exploring her new neighbourhood in Calabogie – hiking, biking, skiing, canoeing, camping and running.
Kristen Noack – Registered Massage Therapist & Certified Lymphedema Therapist
Kristen started her career by studying Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa, where she graduated from in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree. The desire to take her academic knowledge and interest in the human body to the next level, lead Kristen to complete her Massage Therapy Diploma (with honors) at Algonquin College.
Kristen’s passion for helping people to feel their absolute best is what drives her to provide excellent services, regardless of whether a gentle touch or deep, therapeutic tissue work is required. After completing intensive Klose training in November, 2018, Kristen is a certified Lymphedema Therapist. She is providing Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) to treat clients with lymphedema, by using a combination of manual lymphatic drainage (MLD), compression therapy, exercises and skin care.
Anna David – Registered Massage Therapist and Personal Trainer
With her positive attitude and enthusiasm, Anna’s focus is to help her clients turn goals into stepping stones for future success! She is a Registered Massage Therapist, Certified Personal Trainer, and Pilates Instructor addressing functional fitness, rehabilitation and mobility conditioning, one-to-one, small group training and more. Her expertise in postural and rehabilitative conditioning assists her clients in achieving an improved quality of life and renewed confidence.
She is a passionate public speaker and can often be found working alongside peers in health and fitness education. Over the past ten years, Anna has also developed her passion for the Fletcher Pilates® method and feels strongly about the rehabilitative quality of this unique practice. In her spare time, she likes to garden, cook, practice Primal Movement and Pilates, skate, hike, and go on outdoor adventures with friends.
Tawnya Graham – Office Manager
Tawnya came to work at Perth Physiotherapy in 2012. The cheerful environment and focus on wellness and assisting others is what attracted her to work at the clinic. She is a graduate of St. Lawrence College, having completed the Child and Youth Worker program in 1998. Her passion for helping others led her to work with at-risk girls in a group-home setting. She later worked as an Educational Assistant with the Upper Canada District School Board and after educational cutbacks in 2008 she decided to obtain her licence as a Registered Insurance Broker. After more than four years in the business, Tawnya left the industry to join the team at Perth Physiotherapy. Here she manages the front desk, takes care of billing, and books appointments for clients.
When not at work, Tawnya and her husband enjoy spending time with their two children. From travelling the roads for hockey, to camping, to spending time with friends, life is always busy and fun!
Darryl Barker — Senior Physiotherapy Assistant & Facility Manager
Darryl was raised in Perth and proudly became a Physiotherapy Assistant after graduating from the Ottawa Everest College in 2010. His friendly and outgoing nature lends itself perfectly to helping clients on their road to recovery. He loves the warm, family atmosphere at Perth Physiotherapy and utilises his broad spectrum of skills to also take care of the new building.
As Senior Physiotherapy Assistant, Darryl supervises the PTA team and helps to educate our college and high school co-op students, while continuing to work with clients during their rehabilitation treatments. He has developed a special interest in assisting clients with the correct type and fit of braces, supports and other physiotherapy off-the shelf products.
Darryl lives in Sharbot Lake with his better half and three awesome boys, where they enjoy spending time outdoors around the campfire, fishing and 4-wheeling along the local trails. As an avid sports fan, he remains active in his community coaching baseball and helping out with his son’s hockey commitments.
